About the collection

International Journal of Retina and Vitreous is calling for submissions to our collection on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Retinal Imaging. The field of retinal imaging has seen tremendous advances in recent years, driven by the development of AI technologies, which enables the development of automated retinal imaging systems that can detect and diagnose retinal diseases with unprecedented accuracy and speed. This Special Issue of the journal is dedicated to exploring the latest advances in AI-based retinal imaging and its applications.

We invite researchers to submit original research papers that explore important aspects of AI in retinal imaging including, but not limited to, the development of AI-based retinal imaging systems, the use of AI for retinal disease diagnosis and prognosis, the use of AI for retinal image analysis and interpretation, and the use of AI for retinal image-guided interventions. We also welcome papers that explore the ethical, legal, and social implications of AI-based retinal imaging.
