Critical Care is calling for submissions to our Collection on Cardiogenic Shock.

About the collection

Despite the improvement in the management of coronary artery disease, cardiogenic shock remains a frequent condition. The number of patients with cardiogenic shock increases following cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and acute coronary syndrome, as well as in patients with decompensated heart failure.

In this series from Critical Care, we compiled articles that describe novelties in classifying cardiogenic shock patients insisting in early detection of high risk patients, and novelties in cardiovascular support including different forms of mechanical circulatory support. 

We hope you will enjoy reading these articles that will provide a practical guide to optimally manage patients with cardiogenic shock.

Articles will undergo the journal’s standard peer-review process and are subject to all of the journal’s standard policies. Articles will be added to the Collection as they are published.
