Proteome Science is calling for submissions to our new Collection on Spatial and Imaging Proteomics. This Collection aims to highlight the latest research focused on spatial and imaging proteomics methods and their applications in basic and clinical research.

About the Collection

Proteomics is an exceptionally powerful technique for identifying, quantifying and characterising the complement of proteins expressed in a tissue. Developments in spatially-resolved proteomics allow even more in-depth understanding of tissue function. This field encompasses advanced spatial dissection techniques and subsequent proteomic analysis, spatially-resolved ionisation and detection techniques, and novel computational analysis pipelines to illustrate tissue heterogeneity at the proteome level. Untargeted and targeted methods can be used to reveal the roles that different proteins and protein modifications play in the biological function and the pathological processes in human, animal and plant tissues.

Proteome Science aims to highlight the latest research in this dynamic field with this Collection focused on spatial and imaging proteomics methods and their applications in basic and clinical research.

This Collection welcomes submissions of original research and review articles. Should you wish to submit a different article type, please read our submission guidelines to confirm that type is accepted by the journal.

Articles for this Collection should be submitted via our submission system, Snapp. Please, select the appropriate Collection title “Spatial and Imaging Proteomics" under the “Details” tab during the submission stage.
