BMC Psychology seeks innovative research in industrial and organizational psychology, addressing a wide range of topics including work-life balance, career development, employee motivation, and management styles. We welcome submissions that explore the complexities of workplace dynamics and organizational behavior, with the aim of informing evidence-based practices and policies that promote healthy, productive, and fulfilling work environments.

Ahsan Ali, PhD, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, China

Dr Ahsan Ali is an Associate Professor at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University. He also serves as an Editorial Board Member for BMC Psychology.

His research is interdisciplinary, focusing on the development and use of human capital in organizations and information systems. In particular, his research spans across social media, transactive memory systems, shared leadership, star performers, and methods to enhance creativity in knowledge work teams, aimed at making a significant impact on both the academic community and society.

Dr Ali's research tackles challenges such as leveraging social technologies to support individuals and teams in advanced technological environments, fostering shared leadership, enhancing creativity through the integration of social technology and human capital, and creating actionable knowledge to develop coordination patterns among team members to foster creativity.

Hussain Tariq, PhD, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia

Dr Hussain Tariq is an Assistant Professor in the Business School at the King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.

He earned a PhD in Organizational Behavior from the School of Management at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Hefei, China.

Before joining KFUPM, he held positions as an Assistant Professor of Management at NUST Business School (NBS), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), and as an Associate Member of the Centre for Cross-Cultural Management at the University of Wollongong, Australia.

His research focuses on the root of destructive leader behaviors, structures, and practices that enhance teamwork and collective motivations in organizations. He has published his work in several reputed management journals. He also serves as an Editorial Board Member for BMC Psychology.

Industrial and organizational psychology is a dynamic field that explores the behavior of individuals and groups within the workplace, as well as the impact of organizational structures and processes on employee well-being and performance. This Collection gathers cutting-edge research that addresses various aspects of work, labor, organizational behavior, workplace policies, and employee effectiveness.

Recent advances in industrial and organizational psychology have highlighted the significance of work-life balance, career development, employee motivation, and the design of effective organizational reward systems. Additionally, research has emphasized the role of management styles, employee well-being, and the optimization of work quality in driving organizational success.

Continued research in this area holds the potential for developing innovative strategies to enhance employee well-being, optimize work quality, and improve organizational performance. Furthermore, ongoing research efforts may lead to the identification of effective approaches for addressing the evolving needs of the workforce, including the impact of technological advancements and changing market dynamics.

The Editors have no competing interests with the submissions which they handle through the peer review process. The peer review of any submissions for which the Editors have competing interests is handled by another Editorial Board Member who has no competing interests.
