Guest Editor: Dr Dimitrios Zeugolis

BMC Biomedical Engineering invites you to submit to our new thematic series: Innovative biomedical engineering concepts in musculoskeletal research, development and surgery

New Content Item

Musculoskeletal-related injuries and degenerative conditions constitute an unmet clinical need and continuously increase, straining healthcare systems worldwide. Advanced biomedical engineering approaches (e.g. functionalised biomaterials, cell-based therapies, minimal invasive surgeries) are under intense academic research, industrial innovation and clinical translation. This special issue, which has been inspired by EORS 2018, and will provide topical reviews and research papers in the field of biomedical engineering for musculoskeletal applications.

We would welcome direct submission of any original research you would like to be considered. Please email your pre-submission queries to lingling.tian@biomedcentral.com

Articles will undergo the journal’s standard peer-review process and are subject to all of the journal’s standard policies, including those pertaining to Collections. Articles will be added to the Collection as they are published.

The deadline for submission of manuscripts is 30th September 2019
